Hit Redwood Creek on a whim on. The water looked great but I pulled a total rookie move and left my waders hanging on the balcony of my back porch. I did some spey casting from the bank into some pretty fishy looking water but no tugs. I was swinging a big pink leech pattern with a skagit head. No fish in the net but the weather was unusually lovely for this time of year and the sunset was well worth the drive up to Orick. It's raining again so hopefully when the river drops we will see some fresh fish in the rivers. Better get to tying up some new flies till then.
